herwig holzmann from graz/austria is a multi-facetted artist and on tonAtom he presents the quieter, more ambient side. he describes this style as "beatless old-school-ambient" and it is warm and intelligently structured. many artists consider their musical works to be soundtracks for movies not yet made, but for him it's definitely true. self-contained and self-confident he does "his thing" and diligently transforms intuitively created sequences and atmospheres into musical moods and acoustic stories. apart from occasional trips to tonAtom he co-runs the netlabel laridae. there as well as on several other labels. he has released several MP3 albums and EP's on many different netlabels (laridae, Earstroke Records, Binkcrsh, Camomille Music and TonAtom). His debut CD-album, "Your Majesty Machine", was released on Hive Records in Oct. 2004 and his follow-up album, "Still Warm" came out in Apr. 2006.
