Smooth Genestar

Smooth Genestar is a project serious addicted to Downbeat, Downtempo, Lounge, Chillout and Easy Listening with passion. The roots and influences are reaching back to the mid 90s, with the legendary CD-series like "Space Night", Labels like "Elektrolux" and inspiring artists like "Saafi Brothers", "Aural Float", "Fresh Moods", "Nightmares on Wax","Pascal Feos" and "Amphotic", just to name a few...

The project "Smooth Genestar" was founded in 2006 by Marco Köller (Cologne, Germany) to give the Downbeat- and Chillout- flavoured tracks an own identity beside the output of his 2 other projects "New Age Hippies" (Psytrance) and "Smooth" (Progressive & DubTechno).

Since 2009, he operates the free Netlabel "CYAN Music" in cooperation with Jaja, and has released there many free tracks under creative-commons licences...
