Walter Fini debut in batenim with a new album of ambient music that not only deconstructs the concept of rhythm but it seems that the role of rhythm itself is relegated and "authorized" to emerge as mild support to rarefied atmosphere full of nature, spirituality almost religious , chiming of Tibetan bells, echoes and
sounds almost tribal reminding best Popol Vuh works; good “longlasting” music dynamics that lead the listener into undefined places in perfect style and consistency with the favourite batenim genre. Just only one listening to feel what "In assenza di Luna" makes perfectly clear and tangible talent and sensitivity needed to create musical paths sometimes gentle, reassuring and only after a few seconds suddenly suffering, troubled without a clear understanding of what you expect soon. If his intent was only to capture the mood of a listener, Fini would be just another simple artist with yet another simple common ambient album..but he goes beyond consciousness, beyond the perception barriers of things and "In assenza di Luna”, for the pleasure
of accustomed in so many listenings that deserves it, return into an ancestral prayer, a dreamlike journey deep one-way, a complex musical map to get in touch with a hidden place in the psyche of the artist passing from the heart.
