Der Kleine Grüne Würfel  (Label) says:

In the middle of the lockdown, in the everyday monotony, Erich Schall comes along and makes us happy quite casually, as if nothing were wrong, with a new album, the Mechanical Fable.

Quasi out of nothing - or, to introduce into the musical theme, quasi out of a misty, enchanted old magic forest. The forest that parents always warn their children about, but that only makes it more attractive.

It begins as a harmless excursion, a downtown cruise, aimlessly wandering. Where to, where only? Why not into the forest after all? Yes, why not?

Unsuspecting, we blunder into the fold of space and then it's done. The sounds take us captive and draw us deeper and deeper into their spell. It becomes more and more hazy. A short stop at the Acid Inn. Memories of times long past in the techno bunker. But we are drawn to the back exit, a throwback. We realize: The protagonists of the Mechanical Fable are ourselves. Exotic sound fragments, like a mirage, emerge. The Cityraga draws us deeper and deeper into the fantastic realms.

It is done around us: We are under the spell of the Discodräu. A place of rapture and ecstasy threatens to overwhelm us and never let us go. We lose ourselves in the sound. Time and space are concepts from another world. Discodräu is madness and salvation in one. A monument of sound, created for eternity.

Afterwards: Emerge, take a breath, the way back. We find our way back to the supposed reality. Received by a Rainy Dawn. Of course, how could it be otherwise.
