batenim (Label) says:
A pleasant and welcome surprise is the new album by an artist famous and immensely valuable in the landscape of international ambient / atmospheric / aural alchemy music, Cousin Silas, self-proclaimed "sound alchemist" and referred himself as "audio photographs" or "moodscapes"; english musician and music producer most notable for his drone music with his magnificent richly-textured ambient electronic tracks, since 1996 his discography has created a highly respected and valuable. Between 1990 and 2000 Cousin Silas (David Hughes) wrotes several short stories, poetry, prose, and articles were published in That small press magazines. On 28 January 2004 Cousin Silas made an appearance on BBC Radio1 played by John Peel. Now the album “Amidst Silence” seems to be a meditative, relaxing, dreamy ambient music; soundscape for indefinite and abstract places just in perfect tune with favourite batenim music.
